Goodwill Message from Sardaunan Kano:Nigerian Muslims have been enjoined to imbibe the teachings of the Ramadan and live their lives according to the dictates of Islam. Making the call in his Sallah Message to all Muslims, the Sardaunan Kano and foremer Governor of Kano State, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau it is only when Muslims live in strict adherance to the teachings of Islam that we can experience a more harmonious living. "We have a lot to learn from the month long worship and hope that we would imbibe what we have learnt during the period." He sympathised with all those who lost their lives in a recent floods across the country and prayed for a bumber harvest this year.
Malam Shekarau was a 2-term governor of Kano State of Nigeria. He was a formidable presidential candidate in the 2011 general election, emerging the most outspoken and intelligent candidate among his peers.
